Among the Mountains

I was inspired by seeing the mountains in the distance and the palm trees in the foreground. It occurred to me that there was a very particular and striking symbiosis in this setting in nature. I painted it because this landscape seemed very beautiful and unique in the middle of a village. The view was very pleasing. This landscape evokes memories of the beach and of other mountains that I have painted. Trying to capture the colors, light and shadow was a challenge for me because the colors of this landscape are a bit different from other places in South America. I found them very vibrant. In my experience, to capture the colors you have to study the environment a great deal.
